Young Farmers Summer Outing!

Social time will be followed by a farm tour and a cook-out on the grill.

Food will be available for grilling but feel free to bring a salad or

dessert to share.

Directions:

From Skowhegan/points east:

Follow Route 2 into Norridgewock to THE stoplight in town. Go straight

through the light, about 100 yards after the light, take a right hand turn

onto "Upper Main St." The road is right next to the Norridgewock Grange

hall, which is a big white building with green trim. Upper Main Street

turns into Winding Hill Road a mile or so out of town. We are 7 miles out

of town on the right hand side of the road, measured from where you turn off

Route. 2. On the way out the road will turn to dirt, and back to hot top

just before your get to the farm. Our farm is marked by red and white farm

buildings on a sharp corner - you can't miss it.

Interstate 95

If you're coming via Interstate 95, take exit #130 (Waterville). People

using the northbound lane (Coming FROM points South) will take a Left at the

end of the exit ramp, people on the southbound lane (Coming FROM points

North) will take a right. If there is any question, head AWAY from downtown

Waterville. After you turn off the ramp, go straight on this road, it will

turn into rt. 139 in a couple miles, go straight on rt. 139 until you get to

Norridgewock, where Route.139 meets Route 2. This is a fair distance from

Waterville (10+ miles) so don't get discouraged, you'll know when you come

into Norridgewock. You will come to a stop sign at the bottom of a hill and

Cumberland Farms will be across the intersection on the left. Go straight

through the stop sign, onto Route 2 and follow directions above.

From Farmington/points west:

Follow Rt. 2 into Norridgewock. Go past Oosoola Country Store (will be on

the Right). Continue past Mill Stream Elementary School, also on the Right.

Take the first left after Mill Stream Elementary, called "Upper Main Street"

this road is about 100 yards BEFORE you get to the stop light. Upper Main

Street turns into Winding Hill Road a mile or so out of town. We are 7

you turn off Route. 2. On the way out the road will turn to dirt and back

to hot top just before your get to the farm. Our farm is marked by red and

white farm buildings, on a sharp corner - you can't miss it.

Once at the farm, the road to the campsite where we'll have our BBQ will be

marked. The road does go around the edge of a corn field so please be

mindful of that.
