York County Annual Meeting

Location: The Mill at the Advent Christian Church on Route 35 in Goodwin Mills

The York County Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting and dinner will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 at ‘The Mill” at the Advent Christian Church on Route 35 in Goodwin Mills. A turkey dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. with the Annual Meeting following.  The turkey dinner is provided by Shaker Hill Kitchen. Shaker Hill is a local food pantry and the County Board of Directors has asked you to bring a food item as a donation.

 Guest speaker following dinner: Penny Jordan will speak about growing and coordinating local food systems. Penny is owner of Jordan’s Farm in CapeElizabeth, Director of the Cape Farm Alliance and is a member of the Farm Bureau State Membership Committee. Penny is an enthusiastic speaker and passionate about Maine agriculture and can teach us all a little about marketing our farm products.

 A $5.00 per person fee will be charged for the dinner to help offset expenses.  Money will be collected at the door.  RSVP is not necessary, but if you want more information please do call Clint Harris at (207) 499-2472 or email: harrisfarmmaine@gmail.com

 Resolutions will be taken from the floor during the business meeting.
