FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON D.C., December 20, 2006-- Thirty-seven state Farm Bureaus and Dodge have signed a three-year agreement that provides member savings and support for the Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) leadership program. The agreement offers Farm Bureau members in participating states a $500 incentive on the purchase of selected Dodge vehicles. State Farm Bureaus and Dodge have offered a member service incentive program for more than a dozen years.
“This three-year agreement is a significant development by the states in their business relationship with Dodge,” said Brad Eckart, American Farm Bureau Federation’s director of organization. “This formalizes what had been a year-to-year relationship. The program is very successful when you consider that just last year, Farm Bureau members saved more than $22 million through this member service incentive program.”
Dodge will continue to award three trucks to the three winners of the national YF&R competitions and will underwrite leadership activities of the program. In addition, Dodge also awards $500 scholarships to the winners of the YF&R competitions in the 37 participating states.
“Members of the AFBF YF&R committee appreciate the generous support Dodge provides this outstanding leadership development program,” said Dan Durheim, Coordinator Foundation & Sponsorships and Director Program Development.
